For it is part of my job to travel a lot in Europe and to work with our local digital experts, I learn a lot every week about online culture in countries I have never been to. Remember: There is no such country as Europe. And we have a lot of different languages and cultures
Yesterday I landed 7:30 PM local time in Bucharest, Romania - and twittered about it. Some minutes later the first tweet of a born Romanian came in offering me tips and help.
Over the next hour I was connected to some of the most influencial social media activists in Romania, followed them on twitter and was followed. So sorry, I had no time to stay and meet them. This is what evolved:

Sorry, guys, for just being with you for less than 24 hours - I am sure I will come back, I learned a lot about your social media space.
(This post is written on my way back home to Hamburg from Budapest Airport, what has free wifi - cool)

'twas good to have you in Bucharest, even for a short while. You made an opinion. Hopefully, next time you come you'll be able to gain a more in-depth perspective. Maybe you'll be here for that @rotweetmeet tweetup I'm going to organize, who knows?
