To a Toronto near you...

mesh 2008: Canada's Web Conference

And guess who got invited by the Edelman Toronto office to attend? A certain blogger from Chicago, namely me. I'll be blogging here on Authenticities, but also on Leah In Chicago. I've set up an alternativeTwitter account, @LeahAtMesh, so I can keep things hashtag free.

I've been a bit jealous the last couple years as other colleagues have gone up to Toronto for the conference and am very excited to have been invited this year. I'll be blogging, meeting, greeting, twittering, and documenting.

Hopefully I'll get to talk to Nancy Baym about Twitter and to David and Leila about being a Demo Demon.

Have fun at Mesh Leah! I like the idea of setting up an alternative Twitter account to tweet your conference takeaways. I use Twitter for digital note taking at these kinds of conferences and I'm sure a few people following me feel a little spammed by all of my rapid tweeting:) I'm sure a someone will put me on Twitter Snooze if I don't.

Yeah, I've wanted to mute people people before, so I thought this would save my followers if they aren't wanting to follow along while I'm there.
