This is the second interview with one of the "mesh guys." Stuart MacDonald sent me his answers to the same five questions and I'm lucky enough to get to share them with you.

1. What is your favorite anecdote or moment from the past two mesh conferences?

My favourite moment was the very first morning of the very first day. The lights went down, the video ran, the music came up and I got on stage to welcome a sell-out audience. The feeling of having taken this from a conversation to reality was incredible.

2. What is one of the things you are most excited about this year?

What I'm most looking forward to this year is hearing from Ethan Kaplan. He's so bright and his category is undergoing so much change, that I think his thoughts are going to be fascinating. Having been a part of one category being transformed (travel) I'm always keen to hear how other industries are grappling with the challenges.

3. What is the rest of the year like for you, when you aren’t in mesh mode?

Between a young family and a new business, there's always plenty to do. I'm an online guy - it's pretty hard to get me disconnected from the web, but when I am it's likely that I'm travelling or cruising somewhere. But it's more likely that I'm on my BlackBerry exchanging email or twitter messages with the mesh guys. All day. And most nights.

4. What digital trend do you expect to see have a break-through year in 2008?

2008 will be mostly about true convergence, with the line between on and offline, and traditional and "new" media becoming ever more blurred. We will continue to evolve to "watching, listening or reading" as activities which are increasingly device agnostic, and powering all this will be the continued movement of advertising dollars from traditional vehicles to online channels.

5. If you could pick a theme song for mesh08, what would it be?

Theme song: Well, we've chosen it as Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk, which is totally fitting.
