The mini-interviews with the mesh guys keep rolling in. Mark Evans, one of top mobile/wireless bloggers chimes in with his answers to the five questions as we gear up for mesh 2008.

1. What is your favorite anecdote or moment from the past two mesh conferences?

My personal highlight is standing beside the stage as the first mesh started, and suddenly realizing that after only nine weeks of preparations we had really organized a conference with 400+ people. It was one of those moments that you never forget.

2. What is one of the things you are most excited about this year?

I'm excited all of our programming - keynotes, panels, workshops. It's always a challenge coming up with great ideas and then inviting the right people to make it happen. When I look at our line-up, I'm excited by the content and people who've agreed to participate.

3. What is the rest of the year like for you, when you aren't in mesh mode?

Like Stuart, I have a young family that takes up a lot of time and energy. Then, there's my job with PlanetEye, an online travel planning start-up, which is exciting. I also write a few blogs, play a lot of hockey and probably spend too much time online.

4. What digital trend do you expect to see have a break-through year in 2008?

The wireless market is really going to be excited. It will be particularly interesting to see how the looming battle between the iPhone and Blackberry unfolds.

5. If you could pick a theme song for mesh08, what would it be?

Officially, it's something from Daft Punk but I have idea who they are. Personally, I'd pick "Better Now" by Collective Soul because the Web is a lot better now and more exciting than it was during the dot-com boom.
