A social network created around... t-shirts. On Camiseteria (sorry I could not find a name for it in English) you can buy t-shirts designed by Internet users. After winning a design contest in United States, Rodrigo David decided to found Camiseteria with Fabio Seixas (a very famous blogger and entrepreneur).
On the website, anyone can create a design and others vote for the best one. Winning designers earn approximately US$ 500 for their creation. The t-shirts are then sold online in male and female sizes.
It is delivered by mail and Camiseteria really cares about evangelizing its customers. When you open the mail box, your t-shirt appears wrapped in a very beautiful package and it comes with some delicious candy. What could be any experience turns out to be a great experience.
Fábio Seixas says that they want to become international. As he is also a partner in the Brazilian version of WeShow it won’t be hard for Camiseteria to find an investor.

This is kind of like Chicago's very own Threadless. Such a fun concept. I am loving all of your Brazilian social media observations, by the way. Our au pair is from Campinhas, and it's nice to learn more about the country!

Danille is totally right. Threadless it the place that does the same.
I have used spreadshirt.com to make my own shirts for my website. Then people request a certain type of shirt, I make changes for them. I hear cafepress.com you can do the same.
But they aren't as cool as these Brazilian websites and Threadless. I need to learn Portuguese.

Afraid Brazil trailed on this one. Umbrella company skinnyCorp started Threadless back in late 2000. It began as a thread on a design forum. www.threadless.com
